The Harvard LEAD Fellowship is a prestigious 1-year programme designed to empower individuals from low- and middle-income countries to become influential leaders in global health. Through a blend of virtual and in-person experiences, fellows will embark on a journey of personal and professional growth, gaining access to unparalleled resources and opportunities.
Programme Overview
- Curriculum: The fellowship programme spans 12 months and includes a 4-week in-person experience in spring 2025. Fellows will engage in one-on-one leadership coaching, mentorship, executive education courses, speaking events, leadership workshops, and networking.
- Customised Development: Harvard LEAD Fellows have the autonomy to design their own leadership development curriculum, tailored to their unique interests and goals. They will receive guidance from world-class faculty and senior mentors, ensuring a personalised learning experience.
- Global Network: Join a close-knit community of former fellows from around the world. Fellows have hailed from 16 different countries, representing diverse expertise in research, advocacy, administration, policy, and clinical work.
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and regions. To be eligible for the LEAD Fellowship, candidates must:
- Have at least 15 years of professional experience in global health beyond their education.
- Demonstrate substantial leadership experience and potential.
- Obtain support from their employer and an internal mentor.
- Commit to a 4-week, in-person experience in Cambridge, MA in April 2025.
- Be able to obtain a J-1 visa for travel to the United States.
How Do I Apply?
Applications are due by 5PM EST on March 15th, 2024. Selected fellows will be notified in May 2024, and the fellowship will run from September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025.
