About the 4th SADC Youth Parliament Nomination

The Southern African Youth Forum (SAYoF-SADC) invites interested youth to apply for the opportunity to become members of the 4th cohort of the SADC Youth Parliament.

The SADC Youth Parliament is a regional youth advocacy and development platform consisting of prominent and emerging young leaders from across the Southern African region. Youth parliamentarians serve for a period of 18 months, during which they participate in regular (physical and virtual) sittings of the SADC Youth Assembly, conduct consultative campaigns and implement development projects in their capacity as representatives of the regional parliament. Youth parliamentarians also receive mentorship and training from prominent leaders and organisations in the region, to further enhance the impact of their work.

Benefits

Two parliamentarians will be selected per SADC country to become official members of the Parliament and its programmes.

Criteria for eligibility

As part of the application process you will be asked to submit a letter of recommendation from a reputable individual or organisation that attests to your character and leadership work. This letter must appear on an official letter head of the organisation it is being issued by and signed by the relevant referee. Letters that do not comply will not be considered.
