About the Africa We Want Essay Competition 

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Foundation, in partnership with The Raphaelyn Foundation, Inc-Liberia and African Artist Peace Initiative (AAPI) has launched the 2nd Edition of “The Africa We Want Youth Essay Campaign” to support, promote and encourage young people’s participation in Agenda 2063- the blueprint and master plan for the transformation of Africa into the global powerhouse of the future. Agenda2063: The Africa We Want is Africa’s strategic framework that seeks to deliver on its goal for inclusive and sustainable development and is a concrete manifestation of the pan-Africa drive for unity, self-determination, freedom, progress and collective prosperity pursued under Pan-Africanism and African Renaissance. Agenda2063 clearly demonstrates the commitment of African People to the Pan African Vision of “An integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens, representing a dynamic force in the international arena”.

1st Place: $500

2nd Place: $300

3rd Place: $200

Additionally, winners will also receive certificates and branded T-Shirts

ELIGIBLITY

The 2nd Edition of the Africa We Want Youth Campaign welcomes entries from students of African origin currently studying at any level in any University, Polytechnics, Tertiary or Post-Secondary Institutions based in Africa. Participants must be between 18-35years old.

COMPETITON RULES

  1. The essay should be maximum of 3,000 words
  2. The Entries must bear participant’s full names, Date of Birth, email, phone number, name and location of the Institution at which the students is currently studying, Course of Study and a Letter from the Institution’s Head of Department (HoD),confirming that the student is indeed, studying at the Institution.
  3. All entries/submissions must be original. Plagiarized entries will be identified and such participants disqualified.

HOW TO SUBMIT

All Essays should be submitted in MS Word Format by email to: info@teivorgbafoundation.org and  teivorgbafoundation@gmail.com

DEADLINE

The closing date for submission of all entries is November 30, 2022 by 4:00pm. Any entries submitted after the above date and time will be rejected and not entertained.

WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

A Panel of Experts will select the top three (3) entries by January 31, 2023
